What is Wellbeing?
It’s the state of being comfortable, healthy or happy
What is Mindfulness?
It’s your mental state achieved by focusing awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting any feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations that may arise - used as a therapeutic technique.
Why are Wellbeing and Mindfulness important?
Being mindful of your wellbeing can influence the following: decision making, freer thought, peace of mind, harmony and general positivity. By allowing your mind some time to quieten, you can find peace and relaxation.
Do I need to have practised Mindfulness before?
No! We welcome anyone new to this who may just like a little time to find peace and balance.
How is Jasmine Wellbeing different from Jasmine Yoga?
With Jasmine Wellbeing there is a greater focus on the mind, exploring meditative aspects, relaxation techniques and exercises to improve your own wellbeing. Any movement will be extremely gentle but the majority of classes will focus more on the mind.
How much are classes?
£10 per 90 minute class or you can buy a loyalty card for £50 which gives you 5 classes and your 6th class is free as a treat from us.
Do I need to book?
Do I need to bring a mat?
No, I have mats available to use, as well as props to make ourselves comfortable. If you wish to use your own mat then please feel free to bring it along.
What should I wear?
Comfortable clothing – layers to keep warm.
Do you have changing facilities?
Yes, we have a toilet (male and female) and space to change on-site.
How do I know which style is right for me?
I'm always happy to offer advice based on what you’re hoping to gain from the class and how you feel with regards to your current Wellbeing. There is also information on the types of classes on the About page.
Are children allowed?
We welcome anyone over the age of 16 years old
Can I practice if I'm pregnant?
Yes – all of our Wellbeing classes are suitable for expectant mums.
